With all the different announcements and reveals for the 2017 model year, keeping track of all best changes can be a daunting task. Many cars are receiving complete overhauls, while others are simply being touched up. To help you out, we have a neat summary of the 2017 model year changes for your favorite Mazdas.

CX-3: The base Mazda CX-3 Sport version now features a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and voice control, along with small design tweaks to maintain a stylish look. The Touring upgrade now includes 18-inch alloy wheels, leather accents and safety technology like Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alerts.

CX-5: The CX-5 like the CX-3 has implemented touchscreen accessibility and Bluetooth, and replaces a manual parking brake with a button operated system. Mazda extended the seating for the back row passenger and the car also rides more quietly. Drivers will also appreciate a greatly enlarged trunk capacity—52.9 cubic feet—as opposed to 14.2 cubic feet in the 2016 model.

CX-9: The 2017 model has made improvements to weight distribution for better handling the road and turned up the engine with a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine for a nice increase in torque. Mazda also installed improved sound insulation and notable upgrades to its Skyactiv technology for better measuring of road conditions and tire stress.

Mazda3 and Mazda6: Both of these cars underwent major remodels last year, and as such are only receiving minor tweaks. Simple exterior changes and the installation of interior trim still keep up the modern and sporty feel. The on board computer will also upgrade to G-Vectoring control, which improves safety and stability in hazardous road conditions.

Miata: Everyone’s favorite roadster is sporting a new retractable, electronically controlled fastback top, making it easier than ever to drive in style. The Miata isn’t undergoing any other significant changes, but a further remodel is expected within five years.
