Canadian drive Garret Grist will be returning to the Juncos Racing team for the 2016 Pro Mazda Championship. After the conclusion of the 2015 Pro Mazda Championship, Grist sat in third place. In the beginning of the racing season Grist was going through a tough time as he was unable to obtain a victory. He then kicked it into gear during the second half of the season as he recorded 6 poles, 3 victories, and 4 podium spots. With Grist coming into his third season in the Pro Mazda series, he is hoping to carry the momentum of his strong performance into 2016. Grist stated, “I still have a lot to learn and plenty to prove in Pro Mazda.” The boss of the Juncos Racing team, Ricardo Juncos, stated, “Garett’s 2015 season ended so strongly that it became a must to have him return this year” and “He is certainly a championship favorite and rightfully so.” Cardinale Mazda in Salinas is excited to see what is going to happen during the 2016 Pro Mazda Championship.
