Mazda originates from Hiroshima, a place which is famous for its craftsmen. They try to instill a life or a soul in their creation. Mazda follows a process called “Exploratory Preparation”. They constantly experiment and try to incorporate different art forms and styles into a car design and see if it makes the beholder emotional or not. The design has to reach the core of the heart of the buyer. The design was first introduced in 2010 in the Shinari concept sedan.
Since, it represents the soul of motion, this design language can also be imbued in other works of creation. Mazda proved it when they unveiled a chair made using KODO at the Milan Expo.
