Mazda Looks To Upgrade New Models With Diesel Engines

mazda

With the Mazda3 and Mazda6 receiving new makeovers and updates for 2017, Mazda also announced information about an upgrade in development which shows promise. Mazda has been working on implementing a diesel engine option for these two cars, which would improve upon the current gas powered units and increase car durability and performance. After much speculation as to if Mazda had committed to the technology, a timeline for the release of a diesel engine in America has been confirmed.

While developing any new technology, especially a new diesel engine, can be difficult, Mazda is undertaking this task due to inherent advantages in the technology. A major improvement is that diesel engines do not need a spark plug, which leads to less maintenance problems and greater vehicle longevity. This means lower equipment costs and fewer problems. Additionally, diesel engines used to be noisy and difficult, but newer technological developments have reduced the noise and made them more durable. The fuel also runs at a lower temperature that causes less damage to the engine. This allows diesel engines to last two to three times longer than a gas engine before needing maintenance.

Mazda is optimizing diesel engines to meet U.S. emission standards while still providing an exhilarating drive. These engines have already been implemented in cars in Japan and received critical acclaim, but U.S. emission standards are far stricter and Mazda is working to drive down emissions while maintaining the thrill of driving. Diesel engines will revolutionize the way the Mazda3 and Mazda6 drive, be sure to check out Cardinale Mazda In Salinas for these engines soon.
