Mazda 2 wraps up with lectures

This past weekend is one of the busiest times of the year for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca – the track hosts a paddock race series during the weekend every year and this year the Raceway wrapped up the Classic Car Week with a series of lecture series. Brian Redman, three-time Formula 5,000 Champion, said: “The main reason Formula 5,000 came about was that it cost less than half the cost of a Formula One car. The performance was very similar. At Watkins Glen in the U.S. and Motorsport in Canada, where the two types of cars raced in North America, there were two types of cars race in North America, there was less than a half a second between them.
