Mazda Reports an 8% Increase in December Sales
Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has reported an increase in sales for the month of December. The Japanese automaker reported sales of 24,808 in December 2014 – representing an 8% increase year-over-year. Additionally, Mazda SKYACTIV Technology vehicles accounted for 87.7% of total December sales, on a year-over-year basis. SKYACTIV Technology vehicle sales grew by 30% when compared to 2013. December was a great month for Mazda3 sales, with 9,719 units sold; December sales for the Mazda3 came in 2012 when MNAO sold 10,297 units. The 2014 CX-5 sales almost reached 100,000 sales with a total of 99,122 units sold – this past December truly proved to be the best ever with an increase of 14.9% year-over-year.
