Mazda Working On Mazda CX-5 That Will Seat Seven

Mazda CX-5

The latest reports from both Motoring and the carbuzz blog reveal that Mazda is developing a future Mazda CX-5 that will seat seven.  This means that the engineering think tank at Mazda has designed a three-row version of its wildly popular crossover SUV, the Mazda CX-5.  Mazda appears to be working hard to remain highly competitive with Honda and Toyota in the crossover SUV market.  Word has it that we can expect to see the seven-seater Mazda CX-5 at the Los Angeles car show in December 2017.

Mazda Poised To Shake Up The Mid-Size SUV Class

If Mazda is able to pull it off, Mazda will have an edge over other competitors due to the fact that there aren’t many in its mid-size SUV class that have three rows.  This could potentially position Mazda to dominate the market in this mid-size SUV class.  How that will impact sales of the larger three-row Mazda CX-9 remains to be seen, as it’s likely that a Mazda CX-5 that can seat seven will be priced lower than the Mazda CX-9.  We’re excited to see what this newly designed Mazda CX-5 with three-row seating will look like and what its competitive pricing might be.
