Nearly Every 2018 Mazda Model Will Have These Standard Safety Features

The latest news from Consumer Reports is that nearly every 2018 Mazda model (except the Mazda MX-5 Miata) will come equipped with forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking safety features. Cardinale Mazda in Salinas, located at the Salinas Auto Mall, is excited about this development and is proud to stand behind the Mazda brand.

Safety Is A Foremost Concern For Mazda

Mazda cares about consumer safety.  This is evident as the entire 2017 Mazda lineup received the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.  No other auto manufacturer accomplished this feat.  Kudos to Mazda for this extraordinary accomplishment.  Mazda is always looking for ways to improve consumer safety.  Including forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard features on practically all of its 2018 lineup is a move lauded by Consumer Reports.  In fact, “They are such important features that CR awards bonus points to a vehicle’s Overall Score if it has forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking standard across the vehicle’s model line.”  However, since the 2018 Mazda Miata MX-5 will not include these standard safety features, it won’t receive any extra points.
