Production of All-New Mazda CX-9 Begins

Mazda 1 Production of All-New Mazda CX-9 Begins

Production of the all-new Mazda CX-9 has commenced at the automaker’s Ujina Plant in Hiroshima, Japan. The first model left the assembly line on February 11, with an expected 50,000 units to roll of the line throughout the year. Of those 50,000 Mazda CX-9 models, 40,000 units are estimated to be sold to North American consumers. There are a few reasons why the all-new Mazda CX-9 is key to Mazda’s brand strategy. The new model completes Mazda’s objective to have its entire lineup equipped with the full range of SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and feature the KODO design language. Mazda is also debuting a new turbocharged engine that may trickle down to other models in the future. Lastly, Mazda will have more to offer when it comes to crossovers, especially in the snow-belt markets. Cardinale Mazda expects for the Mazda CX-9 to arrive at our dealership in Salinas sometime this spring.
