The Mazda RX-Vision has won the award of “Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year” at the 31st Automobile International held in Paris. The award was accepted by Ikuo Maeda, the international design chief of the company. He was accompanied by Julien Montousse, Kevin Rice and Norihito Iwao. The first two are design directors of North America and Europe respectively. Iwao is a Mazda designer.
This RX-Vision car was nominated in 2016 along with Peugeot Fractal, Porsche Mission E and Bentley Exp10Speed6. Mazda and Porsche shared the podium. This concept car is a beautiful rendition of Mazda’s KODO – the philosophy related to the design of Soul of Motion. The proportions flow smoothly and they scream performance whilst paying suitable tribute to the rich heritage of Mazda.
