Clock Settings, Commander Switch, Navigation – A Quick Guide

Mazda 1 Mazda Experiences Growth in January 2016

Here is a handy guide to three important features of your Mazda:

  • Clock

The clock allows you to keep track of time on the go without having to take your hands off the steering to look at your watch. To change or adjust the clock in the car, go to the “Settings” option on the home screen and select the “Clock” tab. You have 4 options, “Adjust Time”, “GPS Sync”, “Time Format”, and “Time Zone Select” to manually set your preferred time.

  • Commander switch

Placed right next to the driver’s seat, you are able to operate the 5 options, Home, Navigation, Music, Favorites, and Previous, on the home screen with the matching buttons around the commander switch. There’s a volume knob next to the switch with which you can control the audio level within the car. Turning the rotary knob allows you to select the desired option and pressing the knob will open the selected application. You can store about 50 stations, 50 destinations for navigation, and 50 phone book contacts under Favorites.

  • Navigation

Selecting the “Nav” option on the home screen takes you to the Navigation home screen with a number of additional options present on the bottom. When starting a journey, you can select “New Destination” and then “Find Address”. You can enter the zip code or destination address or use voice commands to do the same. The navigation system then directs you through to the destination using spoken instructions and onscreen directions.

You are provided an SD card with a map of the USA and Canada which can be updated regularly. To insert the SD card, switch off the ignition, open the center storage compartment, and place the card in the slot provided.
