The CX-7 to Return as the Koeru Part – II

CX-7

The Mazda Koeru, the latest concept car, is believed to go into production soon. It is, in all likelihood, based on the now discontinued 2010 Mazda CX-7 model. Reports suggest that the Koeru is going to be a crossover midsized SUV.

The exteriors of the Koeru represent a very sporty design. The model has been based on the KODO style design which has been made famous by most Mazda cars. The front portion has massive shield shaped grilles. The muscular looking front fenders are accompanied by lean and stylish headlamps.

The rear fascia has smaller taillights and larger exhaust outlets in the rear bumper. The sloping roof and tailgate make the crossover look like a coupe. The blacked out pillars also look very stylish. The thinner headlamps, aggressive front bumper, and the rear fascia give the car its sporty look. The wheels are bigger and have a special design.

At first look, the car seems to have a very similar design to the 2016 Mazda CX-3 and CX-5 models. The Koeru measures 181.1 inches in length. It is longer than the CX-5 by 2.4 inches and shorter than the CX-7 by 3 inches . Although Koeru is rumored to be the next generation CX-9, it is much shorter than an actual SUV. Thus it is called a midsize SUV.
