The CX-7 to Return as the Koeru Part – I

CX-7

Mazda has, in recent years, redesigned all its vehicles by using the KODO design language and SkyActiv engines that are very fuel efficient. Its new concept car, based on the 2010 CX-7, is going to make a comeback in the market. Named the Mazda Koeru, the concept car was presented to the world for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015.

Koeru, in Japanese, means ‘to exceed’ or ‘go beyond’. The Koeru has been launched to take over the crossover SUV market. Mazda, with its latest vehicle, is aiming to go beyond the existing standards of performance, efficiency and value. If reports are to be believed, the Koeru is going to be a midsize SUV.

The Koeru boasts of a sporty design. It looks very similar to the 2016 Mazda CX-3 and CX-5 crossovers. The NVH technology used in the model makes it a significantly quieter car. But Mazda is yet to make the technical details of the production model officially available to the public.

Yet another vehicle with a KODO design is excellent news. With the launch of the Koeru in the markets, Mazda aims to inch closer to the premium market. Although the Mazda CX-7 2010 was discontinued in two years due to poor sales, the Koeru is expected to be quite a success.
