Four-Wheeled Truck Timeline Revealed

Four-Wheeled Truck Timeline Revealed Mazda established the beginning of four-wheeled trucks in 1950 – it was not until 1958 that the Mazda Romper came to life which was quickly followed by the D1100 and D1500 in 1959. The 1960s and 1970s were the key years in Mazda pickup truck evolution. In 1961, Mazda created the B1500 and two years later, in 1962, Mazda released the D2000. As the truck popularity spread throughout Japan business for Mazda was at an all-time hight – by October 1965, after the introduction of the Mazda Proceed, an end of Mazda pickup trucks in Japan came to the end. It was not until the 2006 Bangkok International Motor Show that Mazda unveiled a new pickup truck with direct-injection turbo-diesel engine known as the Mazda BT-50.
