Mazda Mexico Reaches Another Milestone
Mazda’s facility in Mexico has recently celebrated a tremendous milestone this month. The assembly plant is less than a year old and has already produced its 100,000th vehicle. The honored unit was a Mazda2 hatchback headed for Europe. The Mexican facility is one of three plants assembling the compact model and the Mazda3 for American and European markets. Mazda announced that it is expanding production at Mazda Mexico Vehicle Operations by 150% of this year’s capacity to 250,000 units per year by March 2016.
