Mazda 1 Mazda MX-5 Miata is Contender for 2016 North American Car of the Year

Each year, a 57-member, independent panel of automotive journalists meet to create a list of vehicles that are contenders to be titled as the North American Car of the Year. This year’s winner will be revealed at the 2016 North American International Auto Show. Vehicles are evaluated based on innovation, handling, design, customer satisfaction, safety, and base value. For 2016, nineteen vehicles from different brands were chosen. Out of the 19, one Mazda vehicle was able to make the list. The fourth-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata is among the contenders. In comparison to all other sports cars on the road, the Miata has the shortest and lowest overhangs. Mazda revitalized a classic in an extraordinary way. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox to deliver 155 horsepower. The Mazda MX-5 Miata can sprint to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and achieve a quarter-mile distance in 14.6 seconds. Cardinale Mazda will inform you of the winner when it is announced. Let’s wish the Mazda MX-5 Miata luck.
