Mazda Visualizes Its Cars Of The Future

Mazda has an unique vision for its cars of the future.  Unlike other auto manufacturers who have gone into a frenzy over electric vehicles (EVs), Mazda has taken a more cautious approach.  That’s because Mazda has looked into the future and realizes that we’re nowhere ready for a full-scale fleet of electric vehicles.  It will takes years for infrastructure to be in place to support EVs.  Cardinale Mazda Salinas shares how Mazda envision its cars of the future.

Driving Pleasure Always At The Forefront

According to The Truth About Cars, the CEO of Mazda North American Operations, Mashiro Moro, Mazda holds the belief that, “…driving pleasure should never die.  And we’re selling our products to a core customer who loves driving.”  He may have hit the nail on the head, as there are skeptics who think that the driverless cars, flying vehicles and commuter passenger vehicles (bigger than what we’re already seeing with Uber or Lyft) will leave a void and people will yearn to get behind the wheel and drive.  You might say it’s the Mazda Zoom-Zoom philosophy.

Government Regulations A Concern For Future Vehicles

Whenever the government decides to regulate an industry, you can almost predict that it’s going to be tough on the businesses targeted. Mazda is rightly worried that if government begins to regulate the auto industry more aggressively, it may force a change of direction for future plans.  Mazda is looking towards a future over the next several decades that is focused on combustion engines.  Right now, Mazda will release a CX-5 crossover SUV with a diesel-powered engine, possibly by this Fall 2017.
