Rapid Growth in Chinese Market Encourages the Mazda CX-7 Comeback A couple of years ago, Mazda ended the production of the Mazda CX-7 model; however, now the Japanese automaker’s executives have chosen to re-deliver the SUV to that market and pursue the FAW Mazda joint venture. The compact SUV was first entered production in 2006 and received a facelift three years later – the build ended in 2012, however, Mazda’s effective replacement in global markets was the Mazda CX-5 model, so bringing it back into the Chinese market will not be very difficult.
