SKYACTIV Mazda Team at Monterey High School

On Tuesday, students at Monterey High School received a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and greet Mazda’s SKYACTIV-D prototype race team. The young adults learned about how science and math can be applied to success on the race track – the team will be participating in this weekend’s Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. This friendly visit was made possible by a program recently launched by Mazda called “Racing Accelerates Creative Education Program” which focuses on STEM education: using demonstrations of science, technology, engineering and math.
