Mazda recently announced the pricing of the 2016 MX-5 Miata Cup Race Car and enthusiasts are feeling nostalgic. The Japanese automaker has begun taking orders for the upcoming model, which features a $53,000 price tag. The Mazda MX-5 Miata Cup Race model is ready to race and offers great performance. This is Mazda Motorsports’ first-ever ready-to-race Miata and it looks amazing – the MX-5 Cup is an entry-level professional series. John Doonan, Director of Motorsports, Mazda North American Operations, said: “For the past decade, the third-generation sports car has been competing in our own MX-5 Cup series, and has been the ideal platform to showcase driving talent in a competitive environment on high-profile race weekends. Mazda Reports Best September Sales in Over 20 Years

Mazda North American recently reported that it just had its best September U.S. sales in over 20 years; in fact, Mazda reported its best September sales since 1994 with 25,616 vehicles – a 6.8% increase compared to September 2014. The Japanese automaker reported delivering 241,701 vehicles year-to-date. A total of 9,107 Mazda CX-5 models were delivered last month, making this past September the best ever. The Mazda CX-9 also reported its best September sales since 2012 with 1,559 vehicles sold – a 27.1% increase year-over-year. The Mazda6 reported to have an the best month since 2004 with 4,528 vehicles sold.
