Mazda 1 Jim O’Sullivan Retiring – Leaves the Company in Great Standing

Earlier this month, Jim O’Sullivan, CEO of Mazda North American Operations announced his retirement, which will go into effect, December 31st. In his absence, Masahiro Moro, Mazda’s global sales and marketing director will take over. In a recent interview with Automotive News, we learned that O’Sullivan is leaving the company with the right products in the right segments. The future is looking bright for the Japanese automaker. In fact, through the end of November, the automaker sold 289,889 Mazda vehicles – revealing a 3.2% increase over the same period the year before. A few models were phased out this year, but the future is looking bright for Mazda North America sales. The automaker has launched a number of newly designed models – if you would like to test drive one of them, give Cardinale Mazda in Salinas a call to set up an appointment.
