Mazda continues to look for ways to improve the efficiency of their vehicles and the Japanese automaker has recently delivered notable fuel-economy gains. The hybrid and all-electric powertrains have had a handful of low-volume vehicles in specific markets. The Japanese automaker recently delivered a notable fuel economy gains using its SKYACTIV line of efficiency-focused powertrains and new vehicles. Hybrid and all-electric powertrains have not been an option for Mazda in the past; however, the Japanese automaker is looking to make some changes under the hood and is looking to add to their powertrain options. Mazda revealed that it will plan on experimenting with electrified powertrains in the near future.
