Mazda Modifying Contingency Awards Program to Better Serve Racers

Mazda’s Contingency Awards Program announced a few changes that have taken place within its program aimed to better serve Mazda racers in all categories. This program is considered to be one of the best programs for club racers, autocrossers and pros. Mazdaspeed announced that many of the changes will take place in the submittal process. The organization requires all participants to submit a photo of them in driver suit, without a helmet, while wearing a Mazda patch on the chest pocket area. This program is considered to be one of the best contingency programs in the world, with payouts. Depending on their class and entry, racers can receive up to $800 for a SCCA Divisional points championship or Major Tour win, $1500 for a NASA regional championship and $5000 for an SCCA National Championship Runoffs win.
