In a clever marketing ploy, Mazda’s North American Operations recently conducted a test among consumers to pick the vehicle they liked best after a test drive.  The consumers were under the impression that the vehicles were high-end luxury cars.  However, they were in for a surprise!  Unbeknownst to them, one of the vehicles was a Mazda.  Cardinale Mazda Salinas, located in the Salinas Auto Mall, shares the startling results of the consumers’ choice.

Can Consumers Differentiate Between A Luxury Car And Mazda?

Given the opportunity to test drive a high-end luxury vehicle and a Mazda, with all identifying features of both cars removed, the test was to see which vehicle consumers would choose after a test drive of each model.  The test proved so insightful that it has been made into a 30-second ad campaign for Mazda.  Overwhelmingly, five out of six consumers chose the Mazda vehicle over the high-end luxury car.  This is great news for Mazda!  Now maybe consumers will realize that a Mazda can provide all the comforts of a high-end luxury vehicle at a far more affordable price. The advertising spot is scheduled to run now through September 4th on major television channels. Catch it while you can!
