Mazda Motor Corporation recently announced that a cumulative production of the Mazda CX-5 has reached one million units at the end of April 2015. Production of this model was first launched in 2012 and the most recent model features Mazda’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO-Soul of Motion. The Ujina Plant in Hiroshima was the first to begin producing the CX-5 – since its original production push, the compact SUV has since been expanded to include manufacture at Changan Mazda Automobile Manufacturing Co. Ltd., in China and locally assembly at Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus in Russia, Mazda Malaysia Sdn., Bhd, in Malaysia and Vina Mazda Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Vietnam.
