The North American operations of the automobile major Mazda would be hosting the 19th Master Technician Competition which would see the North American winner entering the Mazda Global Technician Competition to be held at the Mazda Motor Corporation in the city of Hiroshima in Japan next year. Five different Mazda Elite and Mazda Master Technicians from around the United States have gabbed spots to compete in the competition. This is the maiden time that the North American Operations of Mazda is hosting the national Mazda Technician Competition since 2008.

The Mazda Master Technician to be held this year has a conglomeration of Mazda Elite and Mazda Master Technicians who have equal chances of winning the competition and being sent to Japan to represent the United States. The participants are Jason Keeney from North Carolina, Daniel Gleason from Illinois, Eric Boughton from Colorado, James Lorsong from Maryland and Michael Schurosky from Washington.

The director of technical services representing the company said that the principal aim was to delight the consumers through the employment of master technicians at the Mazda dealerships. He also added that the company emphasizes a lot on the promotion of excellence and the competition helps the company achieve that.

The North American operations of the company are headquartered in the city of Irvine in California. It oversees operations throughout the United States and Mexico. All in all, the competition would be something to see.
