Always start with a clean vehicle.  Make sure that all the dirt and grime is removed.  Run a dry, soft cloth over your newly washed car and check for any rough spots.  If you find any residue, remove it before applying wax.  There are a variety of waxes available, and the best way to see if the wax you choose will get the job done is to test a small area on your vehicle.  Apply the wax, wait the prescribed time and then buff the test area.  If it looks shiny, then proceed with waxing the rest of your vehicle.  When buffing your wax job, always have plenty of clean, soft cloths available.  Be careful not to apply the wax too thickly, and also avoid waxing your vehicle in direct sunlight.

This festival is quickly becoming a tradition, and Cardinale Mazda Salinas located in the Salinas Auto Mall, urges you to mark your calendars now for July 8th.  That’s right, folks… it’s that time of year again.  Grab your gear and head out to the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, located at 2004 Fairground Road in Monterey for the 16th Annual Monterey Beer Festival.  General Admission is from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., but VIP ticket holders get an early admission pass good for 11:30 a.m.  Enter through Gate 5 for the event.

Celebrating Mazda’s First Wankel Rotary Engine

According to Inside Mazda, the event will showcase vintage Japanese vehicles and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking first Mazda sports car, the Cosmo Sport 110S.  Featuring the Wankel rotary engine, this vehicle paved the way for Mazda technological advances and Mazda experienced great success with its rotary engines.  Globally, Mazda sold more than one million vehicles equipped with the rotary engine.  Even today, many are still enthralled with the rotary engine technology and Mazda may be working on future designs to feature a rotary engine again.
